Who should take an etiquette class?

Anyone who would like to sharpen his or her social skills and improve the quality of relationships with business, school, or ministry associates, friends and family.

What is an etiquette class?

First of all, it is not stuffy, snobby, prim or prissy. Classes are relaxed, fun and interactive. A typical class consists of two 2-1/2 hour sessions. Depending on age and need, the following topics are covered:  introductions, handshakes, phone and cell phone manners, written and email correspondence, conversation skills, interview tips, appropriate dress, dining tutorial, and more. Wedding etiquette is also offered. Classes can be customized for specific needs.

When should a class be taken?

Any time! It is always good to be prepared for opportunities that come up unexpectedley. Social events can be great motivators as well. These could include an upcoming wedding, cruise, banquet, job interview, business trip, holiday party, etc... Gift certificates are also available.

How can an etiquette class benefit me, my children, my friends, my employees?

Personally, when put into practice, the lessons can help develop and build on the following qualities:

Poise, Self-Confidence, Self-Control, Self-Discipline, Self-Esteem, Self-Respect, Integrity, Respectability, Reliability, Humility, Leadership, Respect For Others.

Socially, as we become more self-confident, we become less self-conscious and can focus on the comfort and company of those around us. Genuine self-esteem is developed in children and adults by positive responses from those with whom they interact. Polite children and teens may find themselves included in social events more often, thus expanding their life experiences and contacts.

Professionaly, employers present a more polished image, which is appealing to prospective clients. Employees may gain more confidence to meet the expectations of employers and the needs of clients. Well-mannered and respectful students tend to achive better grades and have good relationships with teachers and peers.
